Hey Friends,
I’m John, and I’m a ‘76 baby that grew up in Detroit in the 1980s. In 1989 we moved to San Diego, California, and the rest is history… very cool history that I love sharing with my readers!
On social media I’m known as That 80s Dude, and I launched Nostalgia Nation as a love letter to my generation. I’m so grateful to have nearly a million followers across social media! I’m also grateful for my family. I’m married to the love of my life (she’s a millennial, but I still love her 😜) and I have four amazing sons, each with their unique talents, and challenges 😆… life is crazy busy, but I still make time for watching my favorite flicks from the past, listening to 80s and 90s jams, and hunting for my favorite vinyl records, toys, and other nostalgic things.
NOSTALGIA NATION is where I’ll take you behind the scenes into my studio as well as some of my convention and travel adventures, and where I’ll share collectibles from my collection, personal stories, pop culture retrospectives and essays, tributes, interviews, and reviews — So grab your favorite drink, sit back, kick your feet up, and get ready to relive those shared memories with me from the most amazing time to grow up!
