Bro!! Two Scoops is an absolute legend. He did what most could not on the show. I even like to think some of the Gladiators feared him, LOL... honestly, I've always wondered why American Gladiators was not an Olympic competition!
So true so true. And strangely, The Running Man is on of Arnold's lesser known films. I've heard the book is very different, and it's one of those early King books I have not read. I think that's going into my reading queue! :)
The Running Man is one of the most underrated Arnold flicks in my opinion, along with Red Heat! I heard there's a remake in the works with Glen Powell as the lead. I'm not a fan of remakes of films that are already very good. I wish they would have just made a different story but similar world and concept. Oh well, we shall see! :)
Lol, the game was terrible for sure and falls right up there with what I thought the Ghostbusters game was going to be! But hey, at least we have a game to look back on fondly ad comically 😂
Not heard about the doc, will try to check it out if I can find a copy (no subs for me). Used to stay up till 2/3am to watch this in the UK, great stuff. Was because of this I ended up being a wrestling fan (and eventually wrestler), American Gladiators was on before it in the AM line up.
That's awesome Dean!! I've always wondered what watching Gladiators would be like in the UK and other parts of the world. I loved it because I was a wrestling fan and still love this show. I tune in to old footage time to time. Cheers!
No prob. I think we had a few seasons of it play, likely long after it aired in the states and always in the graveyard slot. I didn't see the first season until picking up the VHS one day in Blockbusters. I still remember Malibu being absolutely yeeted in the Human Cannonball from that.
I was there, man, on the days when Wesley "Two Scoops" Berry smashed just about every Gladiator record there was. Freaking loved that show.

This show was so much fun. Also, I don’t know why but The Running Man just works.

My reading queue is out of control!! But now this one is going in it.
I vaguely remember this as a kid. But boy, do I remember the Runningman movie. I actually love that movie haha

It really is!! If Arnold is in it, I'll watch it haha. I also liked him in The 6th Day but that one seems to not be popular haha.
They need to stop remaking good films haha. Hollywood runningo ut of ideas. But will I still watch it? Probably... I guess I'm the problem LOL.
Lol, I will likely watch it too! I hope Arnold is in it, I'd love to see that, maybe even Jesse Ventura! Lol
Yeah!! He might. He seems to just be doing side quests now so he may show up.
Loved me some American Gladiators! Had the NES game too, which was really, really bad.

The Joust was so badass. I had no idea there's a documentary. Definitely gonna devour that. Thanks for the tip!
The Joust was awesome indeed! We used to try and replicate it at home with brooms and mops! Lol, yes, the doc is fantastic, hope you enjoy it!
